The TAA operates a series of related ventures along the Agrifood Value Chain in the NWT as part of our mission to support food entrepreneurship and grow the NWT commercial food sector.
Taste the North
Taste the North is a retail social enterprise located at 5004 50th Avenue in downtown Yellowknife.

The store features only food and food related products grown, harvested, processed or made in the NWT. The store is open Monday to Saturday and most holidays 9:30am-5:30pm.
​
The store also operates a "First Break" hiring program to help youth looking for their first job or others looking to return to work after an extended break.
​
Store vendors are eligible for annual financial credits to improve their product through branding or food science.
The store receives no government funding. Any revenues over expenses supports the non profit activities of the TAA.

NWT Agrifood & You
NWT Agrifood & You is a new NWT food sector Info and Discovery Centre located at 5004 50th Avenue in downtown Yellowknife.
Our goal is to be a one stop shop for those looking to start a farm or food business in the NWT as well as an educational hub for those wishing to learn more about our amazing NWT taste of place. School visits are welcome.
